Job Description: As a Civil Engineering Technician at SMDB, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team and contributing to the successful completion of various projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Conducting site surveys and field investigations to gather data and assess project feasibility
• Performing calculations and analyses to support the design and development of infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities
• Assisting with project documentation, including reports, proposals, and permit applications
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are achieved
• Participating in project meetings, site visits, and inspections as needed
• Adhering to relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
• Proven experience working as a Civil Engineering Technician or similar role in the engineering or construction industry
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other relevant technical tools
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
