Job Description: As a CAD Designer at SMDB, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your role will involve:
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other team members to translate concepts and sketches into precise and accurate 2D and 3D drawings
- Developing and revising drawings, layouts, and schematics for projects based on specifications, calculations, and design requirements
- Incorporating design changes and feedback from project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations
- Conducting design reviews and performing quality checks to verify compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Generating bills of materials (BOMs) and specifications for materials and components used in construction or manufacturing processes
- Maintaining organized project files and documentation, including version control and revision history
- Keeping up-to-date with CAD software updates, tools, and techniques to optimize productivity and efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field
- Proven experience working as a CAD Designer or Drafter in a relevant industry
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of drafting techniques, standards, and best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
